About
the TWCA and our staff
The Tyne and Wear Care Alliance was set up in November 2003, to work in partnership with the Independent
Care Sector Employers, Local Authorities and
Funding bodies with the aim of supporting Workforce Development within the Sector.
The Tyne and Wear Care Alliance is a collaboration of workforce development professionals and employers in the care sector working together to raise the
quality of care. We offer a wide range of free and funded training throughout the Independent Care Sector and identify our members needs through completion of Workforce Development Toolkits. We commission training with quality training providers, selected through our procurement process. We support our learners throughout their awards through Information, Advice and Guidance sessions and reviewing their progress.
