Train to Gain

This project is available to deliver first level NVQ 2 qualifications to employees within the care sector, over the age of 19 and without already possessing a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in any subject.  In certain circumstances there may be funding available for Senior Carers to attain their Level 3 who do not have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

Prepare to Care

This project is a unique opportunity to influence recruitment and workforce training in the care sector. This project is aimed at managers who are currently recruiting for all areas of work in care. Also aimed at candidates who require guidance, support and training to aid them to become job ready. This project can present job ready candidates who have a genuine desire to work in care.

Skills for Care Employer Engagement

This contract concentrates on employer engagement.  It enables employers, education and training providers and other partners to work together to support workforce development.  Through practical working partnerships it is increasing work based learning and improving access to learning resources for everyone in social care.

Training Strategy Implementation

Supporting members of the Tyne and Wear Care Alliance with funding for Induction and NVQ units.  To access this funding you must complete and submit the NMDS organisational paperwork.
