Research Programme:
The Alzheimer’s society is the only organization to work with leading scientists and people affected by dementia. With the right investment dementia can be defeated.

Memory Walk 2011
We began our morning with Zumba exercises on the field to warm up. We were joined by Charlie Hardwick from Emmerdale who encouraged everyone to push harder with the exercises.
The Mayor of Gateshead gave a talk on the importance of the fundraising to fight dementia. Charlie Hardwick got on stage to also give us tips on fundraising.
We walked around the park for five mile taking in the sights. We raised £400 in sponsors; we received medals and certificates to display.
A great day was had by all, and a fantastic effort by the nightshift staff who went straight to the park after completing a twelve hour shift.
Thank you St Marks for sharing your story
