Welcome to the Gateshead Network

My name is Annie Osborne and I have been chair of the network for a number of years.

I have seen the membership grow steadily and the network go from strength to strength due largely to the hard work of my colleague, your network development officer, Sally Riding.

The Gateshead Network offers support to around 100 employers in the care sector covering - Home Care, Residental/Nursing, Mental Health, Learning Disabilites and voluntary organisations and we strive to ensure that they are recognised for the hard work of all their staff.

We offer our members support with workforce development, facilitation and provision of training, information, advice and guidance relating to legislation, regional and national strategies together with support around recruitment from our pre employment training programmes.

We have network "Get Togethers" four times a year  which provide a fabulous opportunity for networking, sharing best practice and benefit from the wealth and expertise of key speakers invited at your request.

We work closely with the Local Authority and the NHS to support the employers with initiatives facilitaed by them.

We are always looking for new projects that will benefit our members and welcome your suggestions and feedback on how we can best support your needs.
