Tyne and Wear Care Alliance Scoop a top award at the National Training Awards.
We are delighted to announce the Alliance were winners of a National Training Award, in the category of Partnership and Collaboration, in conjunction with their delivery partners Phoenix TSL, Mobile Care Qualifications and Northern Care Training Ltd.
Hosted by Sunderland City Council, The Alliance has supported over 4000 people working in social care, to gain NVQ's across Tyne and Wear. Moira Pinkney, Alliance Manager stated “I am thrilled with this achievement which reflects the hard work and achievement of the team and external partners, supporting a culture of genuine collaboration, in which ideas and best practice are freely shared, raising the quality of care provided across the region”
In feedback from Simon Bartley, Chief Executive of UK Skills who sponsor the National Training Awards, it states the key strength of the Alliance is the partnership and that the judges were able to see how this operates effectively. The experience and knowledge of all partners is fully utilised and this adds significant value to the training. The delivery element of the Alliance was very strong and judges recognised that through the partnership the Alliance was really supporting learning and individual businesses. The numbers of NVQ's delivered is significant and it is good that the Alliance are offering these at differing levels.
The Alliance and partners are very worthy of a regional award and a delivery model to be shared.
Colin Jackson presented the award to team members of the Alliance and representatives from the delivery partners. On behalf of the Alliance we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who were involved in the gaining of this award. |
Better Care Events 2008
What a great two days. From carers to service users, from heads of service to mayors, such positive feedback:
“Congratulations on a fabulous event.
I was engaged, inspired, informed and impressed”
“Enjoyed every minute of Better Care Event. Simon Weston is inspirational and really makes you count your blessings”
“Excellent event, how fantastic you are as a team and individually. You’ve made massive progress over the last 5 years and a Care Alliance to be proud off”
“The best public speaker I have ever head, a privilege to listen to. Overall the day could not be faulted, from the food, to the exhibition tables. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending future events”
The events have been our most successful to date and that’s because the Alliance isn’t just the staff who work there; it isn’t just the employers or just the local authorities. Not even just the learners who have achieved so well. It’s not just about guest speaks; it’s all of these things. With this in mind, this is what made our events thought provoking, emotional, enlightening, inspirational and most of all enjoyable.
