Welcome to the South Tyneside Network
South Tyneside Network offers support with workforce development to over 80 employers in the independent care sector. Organisations include nursing and residential care homes, homecare, daycare, mental health services, learning disability services and voluntary agencies.
On behalf of our members we facilitate training, provide information, advice and guidance relating to legislation , regional and national strategies and offer support around recruitment from our pre employment training programmes
We work closely with the Local Authority and the NHS to support the employers with initiatives facilitated by them
Angela Campbell, manager of Alexandra Lodge is the network chair. The network has an open board, where members are invited to share best practice and discuss issues in an informal, supportive environment.
Meetings take place at either Campbell Court or Blissability every 3 months. Managers and other staff members of all member organisations are welcome to attend these forums. Guest speakers are in attendance at these events, and topics are discussed that are relevant to members. Local Authority and CQC are also represented at most meetings.
Angela represents the South Tyneside Network on the Strategic Partnership Board and takes comments and feedback from the network meeting to these meetings.
We are always looking for new projects that will benefit our members and welcome your suggestions and feedback on how we can best support your needs.
We look forward to continued partnership working with both existing and new members.
