Welcome to the Sunderland Network
The Sunderland Network offers support with workforce development to over 110 employers in the care sector incorporating establishment which provide: Home Care, Residential/Nursing Care Homes, Mental Health, Voluntary and Learning Disabilities.
On behalf of our members we facilitate training, provide information, advice and guidance relating to legislation , regional and national strategies and offer support around recruitment from our pre employment training programmes.
We work closely with the Local Authority and the NHS to support the employers with initiatives facilitated by them.
The network has an open board, where members are invited to share best practice and discuss issues in an informal, supportive environment. Jen Young from Princess House is our Chair.
Jen represents the Sunderland Network on the Strategic Partnership Board and takes comments and feedback from the network meeting to these meetings.
The Sunderland Network board meets 4 times a year, all members are welcome to attend these forums.
All these meetings have guest speakers who discuss topics relevant to members. Representatives from Sunderland’s Social Governance Team and CQC also attend.
We are always looking for new projects that will benefit our members and welcome your suggestions and feedback on how we can best support your needs.
