What have we got to offer

The Tyne and Wear Care Alliance is a successful, non-profit skills broker who has the expertise

   to support your workforce development.

   We have a 74% achievement rate, a Grade 2 from Ofsted and are matrix accredited for our delivery of Information, Advice and Guidance.

   Quality Assured Training Provision

   We provide a forum for the voice of the Independent Care Sector and we always put care

  • Funding for First Level 2 Diplomas in Care, Business Admin and Support Services
  • Funding for delivery of the Apprenticeship Framework in Health and Social Care
  • Limited funding for Second Level 2 Diplomas

  • Funding for Level 3 Diploma jumpers i.e. for employee who do not possess a Level 2 qualification or the equivalent
  • Free NVQ First Level 2 in Care
  • Free impartial Information, advice and guidance on your workforce development needs from a dedicated

           IAG Officer

  • Online resources through SCILS website
  • Payment for staff inductions, Diploma units or some mandatory courses funded by your establishment

         

  • Training in End of Life Care delivered in partnership with the Strategic Health Authority and the Primary Care Trusts
  • Our Prepare to Care programme could assistant with your recruitment needs with job ready candidates who have already completed 45hours of pre employment training specific to social care
  • Access to Local Authority training
  • Quality Assured Training Provision
  • Assistance with completion of National Minimum Dataset now a CSCI requirement.
  • Access to a range of short, mandatory and continuous professional development courses at heavily subsidised rates
  • Peer group support through the Employers meetings
  • One to one support from a Network Development Officer
