What is the Workforce Development Fund?
The Workforce Development Fund is a funding stream from the Department of Health, distributed by the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care, via a network of employer led partnerships such as the Alliance. The funding is intended to support on going professional development within adult social care, in particular apprenticeships.
A number of changes have been made to the Workforce Development Fund for 2018-19 due to the move to the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and apprenticeship standards.

To become eligible for the fund your National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) must have been updated after 1st April 2018. For information regarding updating your NMDS Account please follow this link here NMDS information.
